Glycerine is an exemplar of a digital service pattern that emphasises modularity, reusability and multiple access methods. Glycerine provides an API to all services available from the Glycerine Workbench user interface. Researchers, curators and students can use Glycerine Workbench to create thematic collections of annotated images and generate scholarly research outputs with no training or any technical background. Analysts and developers can operate on collections and query annotations data through the Glycerine API.
